KeyBank

What AI-powered chatbot name will connect with KeyBank and its clients?

THE SITUATION

This wasn’t just a project—it was my capstone, the final challenge of my college years 🎓. And what better topic than dating?

Let’s be real—dating apps are everywhere. There’s an app for casual hookups, an app for serious relationships, an app for niche communities… and people just download them all. The problem? Choice fatigue. With so many options, dating apps start to blend together, making it hard for any one platform to truly stand out.

Enter Hinge. Unlike swipe-heavy apps, Hinge is all about “Designed to be deleted”—but how can they get more people to see them as the go-to app for finding real love? That’s exactly what I set out to uncover.

THE CHALLENGE

The dating app market is oversaturated, so Hinge needed a game plan to rise above the noise 🔊. My mission? Develop a full-scale marketing strategy to position Hinge as the top dating app for people looking for something real ❤️.

THE SITUATION

Banks are always looking for the next innovation that makes services more efficient for customers. And when it comes to managing finances, customers want answers fast 💨.

KeyBank recognized the need for an AI-powered chatbot 🤖 to provide immediate assistance to customers and business owners. The goal was clear: build a chatbot that feels human, not just like a machine, so customers can trust it with their needs, no matter the time 🕒.

THE CHALLENGE

A chatbot is a tool, but names matter. It’s easy to forget you're talking to a bot when it feels like you’re having a genuine conversation. The challenge was to select a name for the chatbot that made it feel personal and trustworthy—like a real person who genuinely cares about helping you with your financial needs, rather than just a robotic response.

THE STRATEGIC APPROACH

To find the perfect name, we started with a survey 📋 to test the waters. The creative team developed a set of potential names, which were approved by the client ✅.

From there, our strategy team crafted targeted questions to understand which names felt most human, engaging, and trustworthy to survey respondents. Once the results came in, I stepped in to analyze the data 📊, pulling key insights on demographics and the names that resonated the most. This all got packed into a well-organized deck 📑 to help the client decide the best name for their new chatbot.

THE RESULTS

The clients were able to walk away with a clear understanding of which names had the strongest appeal based on customer preferences.

They decided to move forward with the top 2 names 🏆 and plan further testing 🔍. The next step is to continue refining and testing these names as part of the chatbot's rollout. We’re one step closer to delivering a chatbot that feels like a trusted assistant 🤝, not just another AI tool.
